Joe Gillies receives Volunteer of Year Award
Joe Gillies, a lifetime resident of Clinton and former Clinton little leaguer, received the Volunteer of the Year award for Little League District 16 on Saturday during the opening day ceremony. Gillies has been a part of Clinton Little League for the past 13 years as a coach and board member.
Gillies began as a softball coach for his daughter, Savannah. Currently, he coaches his son Zac’s baseball team and serves as “Baseball Player Agent” for the league.
Gillies has spent countless hours in the gym and the field coaching the youth of this community. He has also been involved in youth football for several years and is the head JV Football coach at Clinton High School.
